Vacation Power Packs Make Season Brighter for Vestal Families

Approximately 600 gifts were collected for VMS students and families, and we felt the love from so many this season to help meet the holiday needs and wishes of so many by providing gifts, hygiene items, holiday meals, and Vacation Power Pack boxes!!
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following: VMS PTO and PTO President Beth AitOumessaoud, VMS Sunshine Committee, Good Neighbors, Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP, Cub Care, Vestal Elks Lodge #2508, our Vestal SROs, Paula’s Coffee House, Board Member Amanda Atkinson, Head Over Heels - Vestal, Cornell Cooperative Extension-Broome County, Vestal UMC, Youngstrom Foundation, our Vestal Community Schools Coordinator, Christina Kratky, as well as other several anonymous donors. Our SRO's delivered approximately 50 Vacation Power Packs to families this week. Families received a breakfast, lunch, and several snacks for the 16 days of winter break. Our successful building-wide food drive in the fall helped provide a bulk of these Packs and our VMS PTO and other volunteers helped pack our boxes (see pictures). When we come together as a community, we can accomplish so much, and the culmination was beautiful this holiday season.
